Below are my collection of debates that I could send to you free of charge. Just send me an email containing your name and address information (please don’t put your name and address on your comments). I know some people are sensitive about giving these information, so if you prefer not to receive them through mail I am inviting you to visit our local Church in Ortigas (along Edsa) and obtain a copy of these debates. For directions and contact number, please click the above tab “Edsa-Ortigas Lokal”. Don’t bother looking for me, people there don’t know any Chazper.
I am doing this on my own volition and resources, the only thing that I request is for you to open your mind and try to analyze the arguments being presented by both parties without prejudice. And if you are a brethren requesting the following, I urge you to share these to your friends and love ones.
Wanted: If you have a copy of a debate that is not on the list, please help by sending a copy to the below address. I’m trying to collect all of our debates ESPECIALLY the old ones that were recorded on cassette tapes. For the purpose of preserving them and have them available to the public. I know I could request all of the debates from our ADD production but the process is too tedious for me. And even if I managed to go through the process, they don’t have those rare debates that were done in the province under a mangoe tree, along the streets, when bro. Eli was still young, traveling by foot… these are the one that I am hoping to salvage and preserve. If you have these kind of tapes or know someone who have one, please send them to the below address. I will convert them to mp3 format and send the tape back to you with the digitized copy. Please don’t let them decay on your closets, help me preserve them and share them to all the brethren and people who are searching for biblical truth.

Hi! I want a full version of Eli Soriano vs Ayers. I had heard an unedited tape of that debate back in Batangas from a member of ADD. As I remember it right, Mr. Soriano lost that one.
But still I want to have a copy so that I could re-evaluate and validate.

As posted above, I only have the showdown of that debate. When that debate was first shown in TV, I recorded it on our VHS… nasira na ang tape ngayon sa katagalan ng panahon. But I can honestly say to you that Bro. Eli won that one and every debate he had.

This is Ronald Obidos and I’m glad to find this website because I am also desperately looking for a copy of debate between me and Eli Soriano back in 1992. We debated twice that year. My concern is on the 2nd debate which did not end up nice because one of your minister is trying to hit me with a microphone. Believe me I keep on waiting for that debate to be shown on your TV program but unfortunately it didn’t showed up even a shadow of it. By a simple use of common sense a person can evaluate what is right & wrong:
Who is the Father of all lies? – Satan
Who is the Father of Truth – God Almighty
Who is the Father of Peace – God Almighty
Who is the Father of contention – Satan
Debate is one form of Contention, so If you are really an advocate of peace you will not indulge on such meaningless word war.
Almost all religion strives to promote their doctrine, is Debate one way of doing so? or is it better to show by example?
Will a parent be happy if their children is fighting over the issue “Who’s best”?
Surely there are several way to get an entertainment & debate is one of them, but when it comes to “Debate on Religion” Lets keep this sacred

Thanks for visiting my site. Common sense in religion is not common nowadays. Example: there are people creating images and bowing down on them, the exact opposite as written in the ten commandments. Why bow down on something that you or someone else created? Why does the creator bow down on the thing that he created? Where is common sense in that?
But, those people have their “own” reasons… be it valid or not. The point is, debate facilitates reasoning when done in a Christian way. That’s right… debating in a Christian way.
It is not to show who is best. But christians debate to show the truth and expose lies. What is the purpose?
False doctrines misleads man. And if you have LOVE, you will do all that is in your power and within God’s teaching to remove those people under the belief of false doctrines.
Stephen debated.
Acts of the Apostles 6:9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
Acts of the Apostles 6:10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
Paul debated
Acts of the Apostles 9:29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
Even Jesus Christ Himself debated or reasoned out against His detractors.
Matthew 9:11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
The problem is that those who are not guided with the Holy Spirit, tries to inflict physical harm to their opponents, because they can not win by the use of reason (Stephen died after the debate, Jesus was crucified etc. etc.).
But one thing is for sure, Christians have a fight… but it is not against flesh and blood… it is against principalities, all that is wicked… including false doctrines.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

What ever your point when it comes to religious debate, I respect it. However it is very obvious that when you are watching people debate over sacred things it usually generates much more heat than light. I saw people even make sarcastic faces on tv during religous debate.
Both sides would find a reason to find fault with the other side & in the end they will just end up feeling bad..
Everybody believes on something, its hard to find fault to someone without hurting them. We must never underestimate the power of example. We should not argue, but we should not also be ashamed of the gospel. Our example will affect our friends long after they’ve forgotten what we’ve said. It can have a greater effect on them than we may ever know.
I was converted from my previous religion, not with debate or any fault finding, but by example. I think people will find it more effective compared to debates. Seriously the intense of debates aired on TV is the same intense I’m getting every time I watch Manny Paquiao fight, the only difference is they are using words instead of gloves! Sometimes I even ask my self “is this still a christian channel I’m watching?”, “Is this how we must promote religion nowadays?”

I do not know what your intention is, but I’ve discovered that you are impersonating me as an administrator and posting a lot of rude comments.
You are truly blind, you even didn’t understood what I previously posted. Even Jesus Christ and his Apostles debated, and here you are making a bad impression about religious debate. To say that religious debate is bad “perse” is like accusing our Lord Jesus Christ in doing something bad. There will be no chaos in a religious debate if both sides are guided by the teachings of the Bible… that is “to love your enemies”. There is only chaos if one side does not practice love, and that will surely be recognized by those that are really searching for the truth. People who are really searching for God’s righteousness… they will certainly open their eyes and not just be driven by their emotions and preconcieved ideas or perceptions (as what you have right now about debate).
I remembered a debate of Bro. Eli against the Seventh Day Adventist Church (I think it was Ka Menong’s group), after which Bro. Eli treated his opponents to a meal (that they can eat). Now that is loving your enemies as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ!
You are talking about “examples”, well Jesus and his Apostles debated! It certainly generated heat for those that are not of God, but surely had opened the minds of those people that are being misled by their leaders to give tithes, to bow down to graven images, etc. In which can not be simply exposed by shutting your mouth and giving donation to the poor. Even Mother Teresa of the Catholic Church shows charity, but it is mixed by idolatry.
To know the truth, one must also expose the lie, the deception, the false doctrine.
Read your Bible, read the verses I gave… believe the Bible… grow up and stop acting like a fool. Stop posting rude comments, don’t think that will not be held against you on Judgement day. This is not a game, this is reality my friend… heaven or hell. Be responsible on what you say or post.
Pray to God that He will open your eyes.
