But now that you know God—or rather are known by God (Gal 4:8-9)
After listening bro. Eli’s explanation about this topic, I was so happy that I was not able to contain the tears from my eyes. Even while I’m writing this down at the backseat of this FX taxi on my way home, I still have teary eyes and watery nose.
I have heard great topics, mysteries in the Bible being revealed by God through bro. Eli but this one certainly belong among the topics that really shook my inner most man, and came to the realization that I should not let down God’s expectation from me.
He knew me even before I was born, He knew my heart and destined me to do good, called me in His Church, elected me… I’ve realized that despite of my shortcomings, despite of the sins I unintentionally commit, despite of the foolish things I’ve done due to my stupidity… God knew my heart that I was destined to do good, and achieve the greatest success a man can ever have… I call in this blog ETERNAL SUCCESS.

Now of course if one’s destiny is to prevent a bomb from exploding in New York city just like Hero Nakamura of Heroes , no matter how many Sylar, no matter how many obstacles you will encounter you are nevertheless are very capable of reaching your destiny; if you wont let those obstacles and distraction get in your way. A concrete example that we should not imitate is the sad ending of the wise King Solomon. Destined to be God’s messenger (which he fulfilled) but in the end he fell to the whims of his idolatrous wives.
Thinking about the case of Solomon, it is as though a certain fear in my heart bothers me. The wisest man, past present future, fell out of his ultimate destiny, how much more a simple man like me? Living in this sinful high tech generation that made sin even more accessible… how can someone like me stay on this old path?
Then I’ve realized how blessed I am for having known bro. Eli and bro. Daniel. I thank God he sent people like them who may not be wiser than King Solomon but certainly more loving. They give their full time and energy just to ensure that we members of the Church reach our destiny. Even their lives they put on the line for us.
1 Cor13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
1 Cor13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
